ACE goes Purple for the day and raises £433 for Sandwell Women's Aid!
On Friday 13th October 2017, The ACE Academy Sixth Form held a purple themed day. This was to raise funds for Sandwell Women’s Aid, who support victims of domestic violence and abuse.
The students paid to wear something purple, sold handmade purple ribbons, cake and sweets, raffled off a chocolate hamper and organised other fantastic activities such as henna painting. Donations of clothing, toiletries, and books were also gratefully received.
A staggering amount of £433 was raised!
The representatives of Women’s Aid were so impressed with the efforts of ACE Academy students; they want them to become Ambassadors for Purple Day!
