- School leaver schemes or Apprenticeships
Thinking of going to University?
At The ACE Academy all university applications are funded to our students. We apply with the system linked to the UCAS website. Mrs Davis can assist with this.
There are over 300 institutions offering a variety of HE courses; the best solution to help you to decide is to look at the UCAS Website which contains a list of all universities and courses to meet your needs.
To assist with University applications, you will have an opportunity to visit universities, external speakers will visit the Academy and you will have an interview with a Careers Adviser.
To decide on the right course, ask yourself:
- Which subjects interest me?
- What are my talents?
- What job would I like to do?
- Which academic skills do I want to improve?
If you are still unsure about what to study, the UCAS web site offers further advice.
Whether you want to learn a new skill, raise your cultural awareness or buy yourself some thinking time before making the move into work or further study, a gap year could be the answer…
If you are looking for employment after sixth form Mrs Davis can help you with your CV, job search and interview tips.
Gaining an Apprenticeship or Higher Apprenticeship could also be another option. Please see the apprenticeship and traineeship tab for more information. Mrs Davis will be able to identify the correct level apprenticeship for you and assist in your application.
Please see below some useful links if applying for full time work also check out the job opportunities tab.
Some students today go to study abroad rather than staying in England. For more information on this visit the following website…
